100 Goals for Falkirk FC

Falkirk FC '100 Club'

These are the players that scored at least 100 goals for Falkirk [the players in the early years [Stark, Tennant, Hamilton, Burt] may have scored more since press coverage was often poor. Some might question the inclusion of goals scored in friendlies, but I would counter that with the fact that for more than half of his career for Alex Stark the only competitive matches were in the Scottish & Stirlingshire Cups, the majority of the season was made up of 'ordinary matches', the same also applies to Andrew Hamilton, James Tennant & Andrew Burt. The local leagues such as the Central Combination or the Midland League often had 10 or 12 members, meaning 18 or 22 matches in the season, the rest of the season was filled with friendlies, but do not mix them up with modern day pre-season friendlies, they were a way of testing the relative strength of teams.
